Minor Leaguer of the Year Trout to sign for LMC

Angels young star inks deal with Major League Alumni Marketing
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Major League Alumni Marketing (MLAM) is pleased to announce that it has signed Mike Trout, 2011 Minor League Player of the Year and top prospect for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, to an exclusive memorabilia arrangement.

Trout is the sixth current MLB player to sign exclusively for MLAM, the for-profit subsidiary of the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association (MLBPAA). Josh Hamilton, Clayton Kershaw, Neftali Feliz, Mark Buehrle and Dallas Braden have also signed exclusively for MLAM.

"It is exciting to connect ourselves with such a talented young player. Trout marks our first exclusive MLB prospect, and we are hoping this partnership carries on throughout his entire career," said Matt Hazzard, director of memorabilia for MLAM. "MLAM is proud to add him to our roster of exclusive clients. Players with Trout's talent and character both on and off the field do not come around very often, and we appreciate that he has elected to work with MLAM."

Trout won the 2010 J.G. Taylor Spink Award as the Topps/Minor League Player of the Year at age 19 making him the youngest winner of the award. On July 8, 2011, Trout made his highly anticipated Major League debut and hit his first home run on July 24 against the Baltimore Orioles.

MLAM will offer numerous products such as autographed baseballs, photographs and jerseys available for purchase. Please call Billy Horn at (719) 475-1847 or email bhorn@mlbpaa.com. Business-to-business sales are also available. This story was not subject to the approval of Major League Baseball or its clubs.
